"You have reached Solus zos Galvus. I fear I am unavailable at the moment, but should your query be of an urgent nature, pray leave a message. I shall endeavor to return it anon."
I cannot say I am familiar with the term, unsurprising despite the overlap otherwise. Though, I am curious of its etymological roots. That, and I find it rather interesting that it is so common a relationship that your world would fashion a term for it.
It's a portmanteau formed from the names of two players of the Game session that destroyed the home universe of the alien tyrant that destroyed mine.
Theirs was a long and convoluted emotional and narrative entanglement pretty much exactly like you described, so pivotal to the events of reality as it would come to be known that it served as a driving force not only in their own session but the succeeding human one as well.
Which is kind of funny because the '-rezi' half winds up alone in the end anyway, with 'vris' nowhere to be found.
If I did not know better, I would say that is a rather random warning, but I know it is anything but. So, then. What is it about spiders that is relevant to this context?
Was one of those two associated with arachnids? Or did an arachnid have aught to do with the one that went missing? Is it a metaphor?
You do realize that this explains very little, yes? I see that emoji—I believe they are called thus—is possessed of eight eyes. So, this character is clearly linked with arachnids, but in what way is still a mystery. But, I see I was correct to assume the one that went missing had aught to do with them. Lucky guess.
Nevertheless, I suppose your warning is duly noted...
As a historical note, they used to be called smileys. Then an emoticon, or simply an emote. Emoji is aactually a Japanese word; the resemblance to the English 'emotion' or 'emoticon' is completely coincidental.
Back on topic, her going missing had nothing to do with spiders and everything to do with her self-obsession and correspondingly overinflated concept of her own importance. So much so that it ultimately ended up becoming true, but in the process she cheated herself out of a chance at a happy ending.
Which might have been the only thing she did right.
From the sounds of it, she deserved to be done away with by her own hand. Fortunately, for as much as Hythlodaeus may be incurably smug at times, I would not say he is self-obsessed nor believes himself overly important. At times, he can be irritatingly humble.
So, was the spider comment a mere segue for you to speak about this woman you hold in some manner of contempt?
You need not demonstrate such to me, I am well aware that, while otherwise similar, there are differences as well. Stricken merely by the accuracy of what you had presented.
After all, Hythlodaeus was indeed lost to the sundering, and I likewise ended up alone in the end. It matters not, I suppose it is folly of me to take relation with aught so vaguely defined, you are right.
Yeah I kinda didn't expect you to take that so seriously.
As far as I know there are no time travelling demons or straight-up insults to the contiguous nature of reality to invalidate everything you ever did or said, so you're probably good. Don't worry so much about it.
As I said, it was folly of me. I do try to take what you tell me with due earnestness. After all, it would be cruel of me to dismiss you, even in err.
Although, had there been a time travelling demon, mayhap I could harness it for my own ambitions. Alas.
[He says, but honestly there is indeed a time traveller, or so he suspects. Doesn't help he's from a time before he's completely confirmed his theories, thus he's choosing not to speak on them yet.]
Mayhap I should pay you more publicly appropriate compliments, then. Little would I wish to leave you unable to echo my praises to your peers, should you feel the need, particularly when they are well deserved.
So too are the others, but I understand not wishing to flaunt those particular intimacies with just anyone.
My apologies, you will forgive my casual and certainly loose use of the term. I know well that there is but only one other who ranks among ourselves that would constitute such distinction. For we are the few without equal in this ridiculous world.

Well, I cannot say I am not a lover of irony, but even this is a touch on the nose. Vrisrezi is indeed an apt name.

Saying that parallels aren't equivalencies would have been shorter, but wouldn't have gotten the point across the same.

I don't see any peers. Do you?

Nevertheless, my point still stands.
