Emet-Selch

For those canonblind, FFXIV deals with a lot of war, oppression, violence, and just all around some pretty messed up stuff! Emet-Selch is especially at the center of a lot of this and so his memories are especially spicy!

I'll section these off by different periods of Emet's life, since it's pretty long and varied. I'll give a heads up if it's happy, sad, both, or has some heavy stuff in it!

Amaurot

1. Hades getting anointed as Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus comes to pest him about it, much to his chagrin, but also ask for his assistance with something quite strange. (A cherished and good memory, nothing too spicy here other than some bantering and ripping a soul from a phoenix nbd)
2. Emet-Selch being stopped by a young Elidibus to be appraised of his best friend's decision to go fist fight use the abundance of fire aether from a volcano about to blow to summon an aetherial beast named Ifrita. (Again a fond memory of eld.)
3. The destruction of Amaurot! Basically following the path that Emet-Selch did as he made his way to summon their savior: Zodiark. (This one has a lot of death and destruction, horrific monstrous abominations, and the death of an entire world. SO PRETTY HEAVY STUFF!)

Garlemald/The Source

1. Solus zos Galvus holding his first born son in his arms for the first time. (claimed by Jinx)
2. Old man Solus being awoken by his grandson while he napped on the throne, the tense exchange leaving the boy disheartened and emotionally wounded while Solus shuffles away. (cw: abuse via emotional neglect towards his grandson.)
3. Emet-Selch being interrupted from his attempt at napping by Elidibus to learn of Lahabrea's demise. (Talk of death, of memory loss.)
4. Confrontation between Varis and "Solus" as he reveals himself and monologues about being an Ascian and the founding father of Garlemlad. (Comedic violence but it's Emet being shot therefore it will be YOUR character being shot, talk of imperialism, and wide scale calamity.)
5. Another conversation between Varis and Emet-Selch discussing "Black Rose". Also discussion of Solus' mortal demise nearly causing a civil war, and how Varis made clones of his grandpa. (More uh family issues, warfare related talk, implied intent to massacre people with poisonous gas...)

The First

1. Emet-Selch approaching a dismayed and angry mayor of Eulmore to offer him a solution to his ursurper problem in the form of making his son a sin eater. (cw: child abuse in the form of turning an unborn child into a half-monster abomination.)
2. Emet-Selch confronting the Scions (the good guys) and scolding them on how they messed up his plans, before offering to join them.
3. Emet-Selch explaining the origins of ancient cave paintings that depict events long since forgotten. (Talk of loss and the apocalypse)
4. Emet-Selch "betraying" the heroes and shooting a cat boy. (cw: gun violence, talk of the extinction of a world, magical light vomit...I wish I was kidding.)
5. Confrontation between Emet-Selch and the scions at fake!Amaurot's Capitol building. (Taken by Dirk)
6. Second confrontation before the final showdown between the Warrior of Light and Emet-Selch where he reveals his true name. (cw: violence, light vomit again not kidding, and a whole lot of shit talking. Claimed by Ardyn)

THERE ARE TECHNICALLY MORE THAN THIS but this is just a general idea, if you are canon familiar and want something specific that isn't listed, lmk! I'm more than happy to accommodate and do that with you!
